Bradford Layover Facility - MBTA Engine Number 1000
Bradford Layover Facility - MBTA Engine Number 1000 - This engine is not a regular visitor to Bradford. Engine 1000 revives a 19th century tradition of naming locomotives. To the right of the American Flag there is a small brass plaque naming the engine after the late Henry Hersey, a long time activist for better commuter rail service. Also note the new double decker coach. Only a few of these usually show up on the Haverhill Line.
