Oakdale, Mass. - The Last Circus Train on Pan Am Railways
CSX engines lead Pan Am Railroad's last circus train. The engines are just beyond a stone structure that looks like a dam but is in fact a stone arch bridge. Due to high water the arches are under water. The Quinapoxet River empties into the Stillwater River here. The 2 rivers feed the Thomas Basin which feeds the Wachusett Reservoir. Note the old stone church in the far background which was abandoned when the reservoir was built. This is the Red Unit of Ringling Brothers Circus which has announced that it is ceasing operations.
