The railroad is the former Boston and Maine Portland Division Eastern Route Main Line. The train is running through the salt marshes next to the Little River.

The station is now a real estate office but has been repainted in the traditional Boston and Maine RR depot paint scheme. Commuter service is operated for the MBTA. In B&M days this line was the Western Route Main Line of the Portland Division
BM-Railfan > The control car of an MBTA commuter train has just crossed the Merrimack River Bridge and is about to make a stop at Bradford. Bradford is a section of Haverhill, Mass. and is located on the former Western Route Main Line of the B&M' s Portland Division. The abandoned roadbed on the right used to be B&M's Georgetown Branch.
